Public Works Director, Kim Swearingen, will be resigning from her position with the City to spend more time with her family.
Ms. Swearingen’s position as the Public Works Director will end on Friday, September 10, 2021. She will be staying on with the City in a limited capacity to provide engineering support as well as complete development review with the city throughout the recruitment process for a new Public Works Director. The City thanks Ms. Swearingen for the work she has done in her short time with the City and wishes her the best in her future endeavors.
The City will be working with KRW Associates, LLC in the recruitment process to find a new Public Works Director. KRW Associates, LLC worked with the City in 2020 during the recruitment process for a new Chief of Police. The Public Works Director oversees the departments of Water, Engineering, Parks, and Streets/Fleets/Facilities.
