Duties
The Stormwater Division is responsible for providing floodplain and stormwater regulations administration in the following areas:
- We administer the City's Colorado Discharge Permit System MS4 permit.
- We develop and implement master plans for drainage basins in the City.
- We develop and maintain floodplain maps. GIS FEMA Flood Map
- We manage floodplain regulations for development.
- We protect and maintain the quality of water in our river, streams, and city watercourses.
- We work on Drainage improvement projects.
- We work to help protect people and structures from flooding.
