Fall Leaf Pick Up
The City's program pickup of bagged leaves will begin on November 15, 2021, and conclude on December 6, 2021. The City crews will be picking up leaves only one time. A detailed schedule of pickup days and locations is listed below. For questions, contact the Street Superintendent at (719) 269-9027.
Again this year, residents who wish to have their leaves picked up must bag their leaves due to federally mandated stormwater regulations. Leaves may no longer be raked into the gutter for loose pickup by the City. Bagged leaves should be placed on the property owner’s property near the curb, NOT in the street or the gutter as in past years. No loose leaves will be picked up by the City, and raking leaves into the street and gutter is a violation of water quality regulations for which property owners may be ticketed.
Residents who have their leaves bagged, but do not wish to wait until the scheduled pickup, can drop the bags at the Public Works Facility at 1525 South 9th Street between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, starting Monday, November 8th. All leaves must be bagged and should be dropped in the posted area. No drop-offs will be accepted during off-business hours.
