The City’s contractor, Pyramid Construction, is altering their traffic control region and fully closing the 200 block of Main Street starting at 3rd Street.
This closure includes the westbound lane of traffic in addition to the south side of Main Street’s full closure. The westbound lane in the 300 block of Main Street will be reopened to traffic and parking.
This closure is necessary to continue work on replacing water service lines that serve the businesses and residents on the south side of Main Street. The closure will begin around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12th and will continue for approximately one week, weather dependent, to complete all water work. There will be intermittent disruptions to water services in the 200 block as necessary but anyone being affected will receive notification 24 hours in advance. Signage for detours and closures will be posted.
Work is progressing on the project and needed water infrastructure upgrades on S 3rd Street and the 300 block are complete. The City’s contractor is going to start installing infrastructure on the south side of Main Street later this week and getting ready for sidewalk installation in the 300 block area.
