The City of Cañon City is inviting community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the City’s Planning Commission. This seven-member commission meets regularly on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 6:00 p.m., and functions as an advisory board to the City Council on matters concerning zoning, subdivisions, and other land use and development issues. In addition to regular meetings, special workshop sessions may be conducted from time to time.
Any Cañon City resident who is willing to donate a few hours each month to help guide the future growth of our community is urged to send a letter of interest, outlining your abilities and reasons for wanting to serve on the Planning Commission to:
