The City of Cañon City needs a community-minded citizen volunteer to serve on its Planning Commission.
This seven-member Commission meets regularly on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 6:00 p.m., and functions as an advisory board to the City Council on matters concerning zoning, subdivisions, and other land use and development issues. Special workshop sessions may also be conducted from time to time. The vacant position will be filled at interviews to be conducted by the City Council on a date to be determined.
If you live within the city limits of Cañon City and are willing to donate a few hours each month to serve this community, please send a letter of interest, outlining your abilities and reasons for wanting to serve on the Planning Commission to:

Letters of interest should be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024. The City reserves the right to make the final decision on selection of Committee members.
