The City is taking inventory of water service lines to determine which houses or businesses still have lead or galvanized pipes and we need your help!
In the coming weeks, postcards will be mailed to houses and businesses that were built before 1970. Once you receive your postcard you can complete the survey in one of three ways: 1) fill out the postcard and mail it back 2) scan the specialized QR code or 3) visit the website address provided on the postcard. Options 2 & 3 will take you to an online survey that identifies the house or business that you are reporting on. Once you have completed the survey, a $20 water bill credit will be applied to your account. Surveys need to be completed by April 1, 2024.
The goal of this project is to complete an inventory of lead and galvanized lines in order to adhere to the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) determined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and being followed by the State of Colorado. For questions, please contact Water Superintendent, Travis Payne, at trpayne@canoncity.org.
