East Main Street between South Raynolds Avenue and Rhodes Avenue will remain temporarily closed until Friday, February 7, 2025 while Atmos Energy completes the relocation of their natural gas pipeline for the City’s Stormwater Improvement Project.
Please be aware of crews and equipment in the area. Traffic cones, barriers, and signage will remain visible. Atmos is working closely with the City to minimize impacts on traffic and neighborhood routines.
The City has elected to delay the remainder of the project work at the site as there will not be sufficient time to complete the remaining work once Atmos Energy is completed and before irrigation water is turned on for the season. The City will plan to resume work on the remaining storm drainage system in November 2025 with anticipated full completion of that work in the Spring of 2026.
