Multi-Modal Master Plan

The City of Cañon CIty is developing a Multi-Modal Master Plan for the development and improvement of safe, connected, and efficient transportation systems supporting multi-modal users including pedestrians, bicyclists, trail users, and public transit.

December 2024

The Cañon City Multi-Modal Master Plan was adopted during the Monday, December 16, 2024 City Council Meeting.

July 2024

An updated version of the City’s Multi-Modal Master Plan was available for a second round of public comment and review during the month of July through August 9th. The City presented a finalized version of the document for adoption at the Monday, August 19, 2024 City Council Meeting. City council requested additional additions and corrections to be implemented and brought forth at a later meeting.

January 2024

The City of Cañon City held an open house community meeting for the Multi-Modal Master Plan project on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 128 Main Street, Cañon City, CO 81212. An online survey was available for the community to give their feedback on this topic and results from the survey were available to view during the open house.
